Fujairah has lots of forts.
Why? Well, they were used for defensive purposes. One of those forts is Fujairah Fort and it is very different in its design. It’s also a great place to visit.
When I visited the fort (in 2018) it was empty inside (as in there were no exhibits). The interesting part about the Fort though was the architecture and views.

The grounds of the Fort also has more to see (and more has been added since I visited the place). This is the home of the former ruler (if I recall correctly):
There are also many small homes near the Fort. Here’s one of them (the Fort can be seen in the background):

Nice, isn’t it? Well worth a visit.

Timings: Seems to be open all the time.

Parking: There is plenty of place to park (for free) around the Fort.
Places to see nearby: Fujairah Museum is right opposite the Fort.
